In collaboration with the Ministry of Water, Irrigation and Energy, USAID and EWTI (Ethiopian Water Technology Institute) LORENTZ organized a training on the use of solar powered systems for drinking and irrigation water supply.
Among the participants were national consultants, private suppliers and MoWIE senior experts.
LORENTZ Channel Manager for Ethiopia and experienced trainer Kai Reinecke had the honor to speak in front of the audience and explain the benefits of solar water pumping.
LORENTZ have a long-lasting relationship with EWTI. In 2017, we donated a PS2-1800 pump system. A video on the EWTI Facebook page or on youtube shows the installation of the solar generator required for the pumping system.
Interestingly, water that is pumped from the borehole in the video was used to build a new EWTI building – this has significantly saved their costs!
