The LORENTZ S1 range offers great flexibility to ensure maximum efficiency in every application.
There are two different types of solar water pumps used in LORENTZ S1 systems: "helical rotor pumps (HRE)" and "centrifugal pumps (C)".
- "Helical rotor pumps (HRE)" are positive displacement pumps. Their design allows high-pressure pumping at relatively low flow rates, making them well suited for applications with higher heads. This pump type is mainly used in S1-200 systems.
- "Centrifugal pumps (C)" are designed to deliver higher flow rates compared to HRE pumps, typically at lower heads. They are primarily used in S1-700 systems and are suitable for applications requiring larger water volumes.
Each LORENTZ solar pump kit is available with different pump ends, allowing the system performance to be adapted to the specific flow and head requirements of the installation.
The following table shows the maximum flow rate and head values for each pump end for the S1 range:
| Pump system | S1-200 HR07 | S1-200 HR14 | S1-200 HR23 | S1-700 CST-2-10 | S1-700 CST-4-6 |
| Max. flow rate | 1 m3/h [4 US gpm] | 1.9 m3/h [8 US gpm] | 3 m3/h [13 US gpm] | 4.8 m³/h [20 US gpm] | 9.4 m³/h [40 US gpm] |
| Max. head | 40 m [130 ft] | 30 m [100 ft] | 17 m [55 ft] | 40 m [130 ft] | 25 m [80 ft] |
The following charts show the performance range of the S1 pumps covered with the different pump heads. The data includes the daily water to be pumped at different vertical heads. This data is based:
- For S1-200: Using a single 205 Wp PV module at location 15N 0E.
- For S1-700: Using three 330 Wp PV modules at location 15N 0E.
