To ensure optimal performance and a long service life, it is important to operate your S1 pump within the correct water temperature range.
Temperature classes for S1-200
The pumps used in S1-200 systems are manufactured with different pump ends to handle various water temperature ranges. These versions are called temperature classes:
Temperature Class | Range in Celsius | Range in Fahrenheit |
1 | +10 – +20 °C | 50 – 68 °F |
2 | +20 – +30 °C | 68 – 86 °F |
3 | +30 – +40 °C | 86 – 104 °F |
4 | +40 – +50 °C | 104 – 122 °F |
The pumps have a tolerance range of ± 2 °C [± 3.6 °F] regarding the respective temperature ranges.
You can find the temperature class on your pump here:
Maximum water temperature for S1-700
The S1-700 systems use CST-2-10 or CST-4-6 centrifugal pumps. These pumps are suitable for water temperatures up to 50 °C [122 °F].
Unlike the helical pumps used in S1-200 systems, the centrifugal pumps used in S1-700 systems do not have temperature classes, as the same pump models are used for the entire temperature range.
