The ranch has a well with 7 miles of pipeline 6 x 15,000 gallon tanks. They intensive graze the pasture.
Originally they had a generator powering a 10GS412 Goulds Pump and was getting about 13 GPM. The first generator had to be fueled 3 times a day. Then they bought one with a bigger tank that only had to be fueled twice a day. The last generator they had on location was propane, with a 500 gallon tank, but they still had to change the oil twice a week. This generator was remote started off of a pressure switch like switch.
The rancher was a bit suspect to the Solar capabilities. He was not sure it was going to work. Installation was on a Wednesday afternoon. By Friday afternoon he was amazed at the performance and very tickled
The day we installed, the pump was pumping 26 GPM. Within 15 minutes the well pumped off. With the use of pumpscanner we played with the RPM and dialed it in at 1650 rpm @ 18 gpm. After 3 hours the well had produced over 3000 gallons. The irradiation was anywhere from 275 – 750. At 275 w/m2 the pump was still pumping 14 gpm.
