The town of Huancuni is located in the south west of Lake Titicaca with about 80 inhabitants, located at 3850 meters above sea level. Electricity and water supply are a big challenge in this place. Families have to cover long distances several times a day to obtain water from the Ilave River even though the town is close to the urban area of Ilave. LORENTZ PS2-1800 pump has been installed to be able to pump water up to 35 meters high with a distance of 336m. The pumping system delivers a total of more than 18m3 of water per day to the population of Huancuni. LORENTZ solar systems provide drinking water reliably and at very low cost to residents. As children and their families do not have to fetch water every day, their level of health and sanitation can be significantly improved. TINTA technology is an engineering and consulting company that reported on Huata's problematic situation to government officials and convinced them that LORENTZ solar water pumps were the right solution. Local authorities approved the concept of installing a solar water pumping solution with accessories and/or sensors for better monitoring or control as a pilot project, by using the pumpscanner application the pump is quickly configured and the parameters are set and changed if it is necessary. Installation began in December 2018 and was completed in December 2018
