Function and use of tank full switch

With a Full Tank Switch, the pump works autonomously, saving you time and effort.

The Tank Full Switch is a useful accessory to use with tanks. A float switch detects the level of water in a tank or container.

It floats on top of the water surface and functions as a mechanical switch as the water level goes up or down.

When the tank is full, the accessory sends a signal to the controller to turn the pump Off. When the tank is empty, the switch sends a signal to the controller to restart the pump and fill the tank.

Connection to the controller

The Tank Full Switch accessory connects to the controller input socket marked with the following symbol, which is printed on the housing of the controller.

Remove the protective cap from the controller’s input socket.

Take the cable with the Tank Full Switch connector and make sure the pins are properly aligned with the controller socket.

Screw the connector in firmly until it stops turning.

Activation

The Tank Full Switch accesory can be activated in two ways:

Using the S-Connect application (with a Smartphone or tablet) or
without using the S-Connect app, in case you do not have a Smartphone at hand.

Troubleshooting

WARNING - Disconnect power from the controller before performing any installation, inspection, maintenance or cleaning activities on the motor or pump.

Tank full switch Message in the app: "Your tank is full"	Blinking	On	The Full Tank Switch accesory is installed and has detected a full tank	Check water level and confirm tank is actually full. Confirm correct sensor installation	Pump will restart automatically once tank is no longer full.
			There is no Full Tank Switch accessory or jumper plug₍₁₎connected, but the app shows the event “Tank full switch”.	Open S-Connect App → Advanced Settings → Check if the option "Tank Switch" is active. If yes, deactivate it, otherwise install a Full Tank Switch accesory or a jumper plug₍₁₎on the S1 controller.	Pump will remain stopped until the option "Tank Switch" in the app is deactivated.
			The Full Tank Switch accesory is not working.	Verify that the accessory is not physically damaged or has not been exposed to lightning. Test with a new Full Tank Switch accessory or a jumper plug₍₁₎.	Replace the Full Tank Switch accessory if the fault disappears. Contact your distributor.
			The Full Tank Switch accesory is not properly activated.	Verify that the Full Tank Switch accesory is correctly activated. Follow the steps to activate the accesory (described above on this webpage) either using the S-Connect App or manually without using the App.	Pump should start normally after correct activation.
			Plug connections are loose, dirty or wet.	Check that the plugs are properly connected and clean. Ensure there is no dirt or water inside any plug (including extension cables, refer also to the Extension Cablemanual).	Restart the controller. The pump should start normally.
			Incorrect installation of the Full Tank Switch accessory in the tank.	Verify correct installation and positioning of the Full Tank Switch in water. Check the actual water level. Refer to the Full Tank Switch accessorymanual.	Restart the controller. The pump should start normally.
			Accessory Extension Cable might be damaged.	Remove the extension cable and connect the Full Tank Switch accessory directly to the controller. Check all plugs and clean if necessary.	If the issue disappears, replace the extension cable. Restart the controller.
			The controller input might be damaged.	Replace the accessory with a jumper plug₍₁₎. If the issue persists, the controller input is likely damaged.	Replace the controller. Contact your distributor.
