Solar (RO) Water Desalination Systems

With many areas of the world suffering from fresh water scarcity, and groundwater becoming increasingly saline or contaminated by chemicals, reverse osmosis water treatment is becoming an important part of drinking water systems.

Our solar-powered reverse osmosis water treatment systems deliver reliable off-grid water production for commercial, municipal, and decentralized infrastructure in demanding environments worldwide.

Designed for clean water production where infrastructure is limited

Reliable off-grid water production

These reverse osmosis systems are designed to deliver dependable off-grid drinking water production for remote and decentralized installations.

Cost effective clean water

Through optimized design and manufacturing, this technology is now available at a surprisingly affordable price point with very low operating costs. In many applications, the cost of producing water is lower than piped or trucked water.

Fresh water from challenging sources

These systems use solar energy to produce clean, safe drinking water from almost any water source, including brackish water and seawater.

Scalable output range

Standard systems can produce between 750 litres (200 US gallons) and 20,000 litres (5,300 US gallons) of drinking water per hour, supporting a wide range of project sizes.

Partnering

With our partners, Solar Water Solutions (Finland), LORENTZ have been working together to design and manufacture a new range of solar direct and solar-hybrid reverse osmosis water treatment systems.

These systems combine proven water treatment expertise with solar-powered operation to provide robust clean water production in demanding environments worldwide.

Cost effective

The total cost of clean water, including equipment amortization, is in the $0.30-$1.00 range per 1000 l (260 US gallons).

Through optimized design and manufacturing, operating costs remain very low, making the systems highly attractive where water is otherwise delivered by pipeline or truck.

The standard systems can produce between 750 litres (200 US gallons) and 20,000 litres (5,300 US gallons) of drinking water per hour, making them suitable for a wide range of applications.
