Fast user adoption

smartTAP Water Dispensers are very simple to use resulting in near instant user adoption. The graphical display uses symbols rather than words and keeps the user informed of the status.

Users simply hold their tag next to the dispenser, available credit is checked and water is dispensed.

Credits can be added to the tags by visiting a local water seller who will add credit to the tag. Credits can also be added via mobile money and are sent to the water dispensers.

Simple, robust infrastructure

Local water sellers add credit to the tag using a standard smartphone, there is no need for specialized terminals keeping the costs of initial implementation and the costs of scaling low.

The water dispenser unit is built from very strong materials, resisting daily wear and providing a long operational life. The system is secure from tag duplication, hacking or from physical attacks.

Being solar powered the smartTAP water dispenser can be installed anywhere that piped water is available, the dispenser also contains a battery for 24 hour use.
