Villaviciosa Site 3 (Calao PS2-4000) has an installed array capacity of 6,480 Wp, consisting of 8×3 CS6P-265P Canadian Solar PV modules arranged in a combination of layout and portrait orientation due to area and terrain constraints. Required daily water requirement (projected) is 50 cu.m. The source is a surface spring and the tank is above-ground, with a head of 48 m.
The system is equipped with mandatory accessories like well probe for dry running protection, sun sensor for low irradiance measurement, and other optional accessories like liquid pressure sensor for pressure and level measurements, water meter for accurate metering, surge protection device for lightning protection, float switch for tank water level control, and flow sleeve for enhanced motor cooling.
The project is intended to supplement the water requirement of the locality and it is funded by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
