Solar-Powered Water Pump for Irrigation in Sinagauruk Pandiangan Village
The Solar-Powered Water Pump project is a revolutionary initiative aimed at enhancing irrigation efficiency in Sinagauruk Pandiangan Village, Naingolan District, Samosir Regency. By leveraging renewable energy technology, this project will provide an environmentally friendly and sustainable irrigation solution for a vast agricultural area.
Location and Project Scale:
This project focuses on the irrigation of rice fields in Sinagauruk Pandiangan Village, covering an area of 80-100 hectares of farmland. The village is known for its high agricultural potential, and with the implementation of solar-powered water pump technology, it is expected that agricultural yields will significantly increase.
Involved Parties:
The project involves a collaboration between the Department of Industry, Trade, Energy, and Mineral Resources (ESDM) of North Sumatra Province and PT. Denkino Sarana Mandiri. The ESDM Department provides regulatory and technical support, while PT. Denkino Sarana Mandiri is responsible for the technical execution and operational aspects of the project.
Technical Specifications:
The project utilizes a Submersible Pump system equipped with a PSK2-40 controller and a C-SJ120-3 Pump End. The system is designed to achieve a flow rate of approximately 1000 cubic meters per day, supported by a PV array with a capacity of 66,000 WP. This advanced setup ensures efficient and reliable water delivery to the agricultural fields.
Benefits and Impact:
By implementing the solar-powered water pump, farmers in Sinagauruk Pandiangan Village will experience several key benefits:
- Energy Efficiency: Utilizing the abundant solar energy in the area will reduce dependence on conventional energy sources, lower operational costs, and minimize environmental impact.
- Increased Productivity: A reliable and efficient irrigation system will ensure a consistent water supply, allowing farmers to boost their crop yields.
- Sustainability: This project reflects a commitment to sustainable agricultural practices, supporting long-term food security in the region.
The Solar-Powered Water Pump project is a step forward in promoting sustainable agriculture and improving the well-being of the local community in Sinagauruk Pandiangan Village. With strong collaboration between the government and the private sector, it is hoped that this project can serve as a model for similar initiatives in the future.
