This project is consist of an impoundment to hold water from a small stream (particularly useful during summer, also acts as a primary settling basin), uses a series of filter boxes to strain, settle and filter debris and impurities and then the water is directed into a pump containment tank through a couple of plastic pipes. From there the water is pumped through several GI pipes, which are connected to HDPE plastic pipes passing near the PV array and then discharges into a tank strategically situated on top of the mountain, in the middle of the distribution area.
The system is highly recommended to include in the near future, some Lorentz accessories like water pressure sensor, water meter and float switch for a more efficient local management and more accurate online monitoring as well as remote management through pumpMANAGER.
