The city of Ilave is located in the south-west of Lake Titicaca with about 17,866 inhabitants, located at 3,850 meters above sea level, 50km south of the city of Puno on the Collao plateau. Water supply is a great challenge in this place due to the high costs of electricity or fuel, families have to limit themselves to using water and other families have to travel long distances several times a day to obtain water from the Ilave River. in order to compensate for the discontinuity of the drinking water supply. LORENTZ psk2-40 pump has been installed to be able to pump water up to 91 meters high with a distance of 850m. The pumping system delivers a total of more than 780m3 of water per day to the population of the northern area of Ilave. LORENTZ solar systems provide drinking water reliably and at very low cost to residents. Since children and their families do not have to fetch or limit themselves to using water every day, their level of health and sanitation can be significantly improved. TINTA technology is an engineering and consulting company that reported on Ilave's problematic situation to municipal government officials and convinced them that LORENTZ solar water pumps were the right solution. Local authorities approved the concept of installing a solar water pumping solution with accessories and/or sensors for better monitoring or control as a pilot project, by using the pumpscanner application the pump is quickly configured and the parameters are set and changed if it is necessary. Installation began in October 2018 and was completed in December 2018
